Keuropa Ry

Keuropa is a youth club based in Kerava, Southern Finland. Founded in 2014, Keuropa was established to promote and enable international activities for young people.

Most members are between 14 and 19 years old, but the community also includes young adults aged 20–26 as well as some adults.

Many of the founding members share a background in scouting; however, being a scout is not a requirement for new members. Keuropa actively cooperates with scout organizations and a wide range of other local and international organizations.

Keuropa is strongly involved in its local community. The organization initiates and participates in projects aimed at improving the quality of life in its hometown and encouraging young people to take an active role in their city.

The organization is supported by highly experienced leaders who have worked extensively in camps, youth projects, and events on a voluntary basis. Many key members are also active volunteers in scouting, which provides a strong foundation in event organization, leadership, and youth work.

Keuropa has solid experience in project management, gained through professional work, scouting, and other leisure-time activities. Both younger and older leaders are well educated, skilled, and experienced in guiding youth.

The leadership team has strong competencies in areas such as photography, social media, and responsible internet use, and they actively mentor young people in these fields. Over the years, Keuropa has organized and participated in numerous camps, including scout camps, projects with other organizations, and multiple Erasmus+ youth exchanges in Finland and abroad. Altogether, the organization brings decades of combined experience in working with young people.

Keuropa’s culture is built on cooperation between all age groups. Members are encouraged to grow, take responsibility, and learn by doing, with opportunities expanding according to their age, interests, and motivation.
